The Official Openning of the first module of Lavasan WWTP

   On 6th February, 2017 in relation to the 37th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, Lavasan Waste Water Treatment Plant was inaugurated by Seyyed Hossein Hashemi the governor of Tehran. This ceremony was hold with the participation of Dr. Hamid Chitchian, the Energy Minister of Iran, Hamid Reza Janbaz Managing Director and Chairman of the Board of National Water and Wastewater Engineering Company of Iran, Mohammad Parvaresh the managing director of TPWWC and Fatemeh zolghadr the member of the assembly of Tehran’s representatives in the congress of Islamic republic of Iran.

   The capacity of this WWTP is 12000 m3/d and the treated wastewater can be utilized for agricultural purposes.

   During this ceremony the Energy Minister of Iran in an interview emphasized, in spite of sufficient precipitation during the last weeks, we have been facing with the drought within the country which it needs a decisive action.

   He also mentioned, although Lavasan Wastewater Treatment Plant is relatively a small plant, it's got a considerable influence on the regional health condition, quality of water resources, etc.
