The History of Sadrab Sanat Company

On 17 June 2003, two friends—fresh graduates of Iran University of Science and Technology—founded Sadrab Sanat. They brought experience in both local water- and wastewater-treatment projects and international infrastructure assignments, and launched the firm at Grade 5 in Iran’s EPC-contractor ranking system.

Early Growth2003 – 2012

Sadrab Sanat concentrated on small- and medium-scale water and wastewater treatment plants and distribution networks across Iran, steadily progressing from Grade 5 to Grade 3 EPC status.

2003 – 2012
Oil & Gas Concentration2012 – 2016

In 2012 the company diverged into the oil-and-gas sector, winning its first energy project—the Lavan Refinery Process Improvement and Capacity Optimization Plan. Successful delivery elevated Sadrab Sanat from Grade 3 to Grade 2 EPC status by 2016.

International Expansion & Top-Tier Recognition2016 – 2021

Starting in 2016, Sadrab Sanat secured multiple World Bank and Islamic Development Bank (IDB) tenders, with flagship contracts signed in 2018. Continued success propelled the firm to Grade 1 EPC status in 2021, the highest national classification.

Major Infrastructure Delivery2021 – Present

Since achieving Grade 1, Sadrab Sanat has executed pipeline, pump-station, treatment-facility, and network projects totaling USD 50 million in value, strengthening its role in Iran’s water- sector infrastructure.

Today

With 200 + specialists and partnerships with leading European technology firms, Sadrab Sanat has completed 50 + major projects across rural, municipal, industrial, pipeline and pump-stations, mining, and oil & gas sectors.

• Initial Quality Foundation: certified to ISO 9001:2009, ISO 10006:2003, ISO 10002:2004

• Matured Quality Vision (post-2020): aligned with ISO 37000 and ISO 37011, reflecting the company’s new mission after reaching Grade 1 and its commitment to ESG- and SDG-driven governance

Starting with a green approach—Environment, Accountability, Social, Technolog —then integrating the UN SDGs, and ultimately embracing the global ESG vision, Sadrab Sanat earned:

The company has also received nearly 30 letters of acknowledgment from major Iranian clients for successful project delivery.
